I came across this song while scanning hundreds of songs over the weekend. I don't speak French but there is something haunting about the opening and closing piano. I have a 'French for Dummies' book and want to learn just so I can fully understand the meaning of this song. Please give it a listen and enjoy this beautifully tragic tune.

I love Coeur de Pirate, and this is one of my favourite songs of hers! My French isn't perfect, but from what I can understand, you're right in your assessment that it's tragic... Really beautiful.
